Description
After termites, wood-boring beetles are the most important wood-destroying insects in homes. The amount of damage that wood-boring beetles cause depends on many factors. The type of wood (hardwood or softwood), the moisture of the wood, and the environmental conditions at the infestation site all affect the severity of beetle damage. This course covers the biology, identification of true and false powder post beetles, Old house borers and control methods. This course, activity #10569(g) has been approved by the SPCB for 1 hour of continuing education credit toward Technical Branch 3 for Field Representatives and Operators only.
