Controlling Powder Post Beetles

After termites, wood-boring beetles are the most important wood-destroying insects in homes. The amount of damage that wood-boring beetles cause depends on many factors. The type of wood (hardwood or softwood), the moisture of the wood, and the environmental conditions at the infestation site all affect the severity of beetle damage. This course covers the biology, identification of true and false powder post beetles, Old house borers and control methods. This one hour course #32868, has been approved by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for one CE credit toward WDO. You must score a minimum of 70% to earn your recertification credit.
