In this course you will gain knowledge of boron; its uses, mixing and treating methods. The use of boron based products for control of many pests is a low toxicity, long lasting control measure. It's application as a wood preservative and protectant has the most efficacy of any of its uses. Because it is mineral based, boron leaves a long lasting residue on the wood. Boron is considered low toxicity and most boron products can be registered as GRAS (generally regarded as safe).
